Little Things

Some new pieces that I have been working on. I'm not really sure why my scanner turned the background of these so yellow as the paper is actually off white. I still need to figure out how to use all of this new equipment that we got! They are not so blown out/high contrast in real life.

New Opportunities Comin

Well...what a successful weekend this has been! Not only did I make my first sale on Etsy (the little patchwork "Birds on a Wire" painting), but I was asked to be the featured artist on this new website called, www.growyouroakland.com I'm still not sure what month I will be doing this as I want to get a couple of new pieces finished. So yay!! more new things to come from me and I am getting really excited about the new painting that I am almost finished with!

The Final EP is Out!

After a year of waiting the final recordings from Red Voice Choir have arrived as a free download from Hungry Eye Records (NY). This was one of my favorite groups to play with over the years and I really miss performing, recording and having practice while acting like a huge dork with them every week. Our final performance (at Gilman Street Collective, Berkeley, CA 2008) was so much fun and I was 6 months pregnant with Ian at the time to. The artwork is one of my drawings with layout by Adam Beck.

You can get the downloadhere
You can watch part of our final performance (with me pregnant as can be)here
(I'm the singer/keyboardist)

Hungry Eye Records also puts out all of the Black Ice albums and you can check them out and/or buy them off of the site as well. (Shameless self promotion)

Finally...another new peice!

I can not believe that it took me almost 3 weeks to finish this little guy. I look back and remember when I could have gotten this kind of work done in about a day (maybe 2)...those were the days before having a toddler though. No matter, I like taking my time.
